Это помогает The Tank, некоммерческое художественное пространство и эпицентр чиптюна в Нью-Йорке и Северной Америке. Компиляция выпущена под наступающий Blip Fest 2006, международной сходке более чем 30-ти исполнителей чиптюна, организованной всеми сторонами. 8BP050 намеревается задокументировать новаторскую сцену, продолжить партнерства и стать самым масштабным событием в истории чиптюна на сегодняшний день.

Не желая, чтобы хоть одна из композиций пролетела, оставшиеся 20 треков были размещены в виде бонусного диска, доступного для скачивания.
